How to Do Offline Activation of a Standard License

1. Go to your customer page and use one of the available Install Q Professional links.
2. Click the button Install license only.
3. A file named Your Company Name – Q Professional – Expires DD-MMM-YY.qlic will be downloaded.
4. Copy the file to the computer with Q installed.
5. Double-click the file on the computer.
6. You will then see the License Agreement. Click Continue.
7. You will see a message explaining that online activation failed:
   
8. Click Save Offline Activation File...
9. Save the file (named Q License Activation.qact) to your desktop, then copy it to a computer with Internet access.
10. Close the message by clicking the X icon on the top-right of the message.
11. Q will then start in unlicensed mode. Close Q.
12. On your computer with Internet access, visit the web page https://www.q-researchsoftware.com/qlicensing/activate.aspx
13. Click the Choose file button on the page, and select the Q License Activation.qact file you saved earlier.
14. Then the web page will change to the following:
    
15. Click the Download button.
16. A file named Your Company Name – Q Professional – Expires DD-MMM-YY (1).qlic will be downloaded.
17. Copy this new file to the computer with Q installed.
18. Double-click the file on the computer.
19. You will then see the License Agreement. Click Continue.
20. Q will then start.

You can confirm the license has been successfully installed by looking at the title of the Q window. It will say No Project Loaded - Q Professional.
