How to Hide Rows and Columns with Small Sample Sizes in a Table or Chart

..to a table or chart where entire rows and/or columns have a sample size below a specified threshold are hidden:

Requirements

• A table or chart with at least one row and/or column with a small sample size.
• Note that this rule is not compatible with R-based visualizations created via Create > Charts > Visualization.

Method

1. Select your table or chart.
2. In the toolbar, go to Automate > Browse Online Library > Modify Whole Table or Plot > Hide Columns with Small Sample Sizes, Hide Rows and Columns with Small Sample Sizes, or Hide Rows with Small Sample Sizes.
3. Specify the Minimum Sample Size.
4. If you selected Hide Rows and Columns with Small Sample Sizes, both Hide Columns and Hide Rows are ticked by default. You can untick one of these if necessary.
5. If you selected Hide Rows and Columns with Small Sample Sizes, you can additionally set the statistic to use for hiding rows and columns independently.
6. Choose the appropriate statistic for hiding each selected dimension.
7. Press OK.
