How to Troubleshoot Q only shows the Tables/Outputs tab

Introduction

If you can only see the Tables/Output tab and the top left of your Q window says Q Reader then this means that your copy of Q is not currently activated.

Method

If you can only see the Tables/Output tab and the top left of your Q window says Q Reader then this means that your copy of Q is not currently activated. If you have just installed Q then this probably means that you need to follow some additional steps to activate the software. In particular, you need to obtain a license file. This page describes the steps required to complete your activation.

If you have been using an activated copy of Q Professional and Q has now become Q Reader, please contact Q Support.
